LED table lamp Original 1227 in typical Anglepoise® design The Original 1227 table lamp is modelled on the original from Anglepoise® from the 1930s, which is also reflected in its name. Just like the early models, the body of Original 1227 is made of cast iron with chrome-plated fittings. The light is fitted with a fixing element that is screwed to the table to save space. The tried-and-tested constant spring mechanism makes this light source very flexible to adjust. The colour scheme is also based on the Original. The original design was created by George Carwardine, an English industrial designer who originally developed shock absorbers for the automotive industry and then used his knowledge to develop this flexibly adjustable and optimally balanced work light. The Original 1227 table lamp was launched on the market in 1935 and quickly became indispensable for many work areas.
