Mouth-blown lampshade - Blubb pendant light by next The rounded shape of the Blubb pendant light is reminiscent of a drop hitting the surface of water. The result is a bulbous, organic shape. In terms of materials, this idea was realised with glass, which was shaped by hand. The Blubb lights are manufactured in Cologne, where production and sales of the company next are located. The designer light company was founded by Thomas Schulte in 2000. Constantin Wortmann, a Munich-based designer who has also worked with Ingo Maurer, designed not only Blubb but also a large part of the next range. The Blubb pendant light was awarded the title "Light of the Year" in 2017. Note: Only LED bulbs may be used with Blubb. In addition, the diameter of the bulb must not exceed 11 cm.
