The Munich-based designer Constantin Wortmann, who is responsible for the designs for the Alien luminaire series, has been working for next, a luminaire manufacturer from Cologne, for many years. Before designing lights for the Cologne-based company, he had already worked for Ingo Maurer, one of Germany's best-known lighting designers. next's designer lights are manufactured in Germany.
