You may wonder what this fascinating contraption is that spins so elegantly and silently around its own axis up there on the ceiling, filling the room with a refreshing breeze. This contraption is called Propeller and is a completely reinterpreted and absolutely innovative version of the conventional ceiling fan. The name could not be more apt, as the German word "Propeller" has its roots in the Latin verb "propellere", which means "to drive" or "to propel forward". What is driven here by a motor hidden in the canopy is a fan characterised by abstraction and artistic thinking. However, you will search in vain for rotating blades on Propeller. Rather, it is an abstract sculpture illuminated from within, which draws a fascinating shape in the air as it rotates elegantly around itself. When Propeller comes to a standstill, you can see the uniquely sweeping shape of the fabric-covered fan, which could not be more supple and gentle once it is in motion.

The construction of this fan is well thought out. The basic component is a filigree frame made of spring wire, over which a white fabric cover made of 80 percent polyamide and 20 percent elastane has been stretched. The cover not only conceals the wire frame and the centrally located bulb, but also serves as a diffuser for the warm light, which once again puts the Propeller in the spotlight. The fabric cover can be easily removed for cleaning.

Functions

It is conveniently controlled via the supplied remote control, which switches the light and motor on and off, changes the direction of rotation from forward to reverse and controls the speed in six stages.

Conveniently, the speed control has a memory function so that the previously selected speed is restored when the light is switched on again.
