What characterises a modern ceiling light in gold or brass?
Gold and brass are no longer just associated with the antique style. On the contrary: shiny metal is fashionable - especially in the trendy combinations of black and gold and white and gold! Timeless, artistic and futuristic designs give these ceiling lights a completely new look. LED also enables innovative, filigree designs without protruding or large-format light sources.
Which light source is ideal for ceiling lights?
There are also two variants of modern ceiling lights in brass and gold: Lights with fixed LEDs and those with replaceable light sources.
With permanently installed LEDs, ensure a warm white light colour of less than 3,300 Kelvin and a brightness that matches the room size - because you won't be able to use brighter light sources later!
For replaceable light sources, it is best to choose LED lamps for the lampholders of the luminaire to save energy and be able to rely on a long service life. For open luminaires, you can opt for the visually appealing LED filament lamps. These have a clear bulb and a "filament" inspired by classic carbon filament lamps. Another stylish alternative, especially to gold and brass lamps, are head mirror lamps with a partially gold-coloured bulb.
