Bauhaus style light object: Cubelight

The Bauhaus, the famous designers and architects, coined the term "New Objectivity" from the 1920s. This refers to objects with clear forms and timeless design. The light object Cubelight by designer Mathias Schifferdecker from 2012 is also part of this tradition. The table lamp consists of a total of 18 glass cubes, which in turn can be assembled into a large cube and arranged individually. The glass cubes were handcrafted with facet and edge cuts. When the integrated LED lighting is switched on, therefore, a variety of light reflections are created.

The luminaire comes with 18 glass cubes: 14 clear cubes and one colored cube each in blue, red, yellow and green. On the back of the base is a dimmer integrated, so that the brightness can be adjusted as desired.

Cubelight is optionally expandable with additional glass cubes, glass prisms (additional reflection effects) and a glass mirror ball (light redirection) in different individually definable color combinations. To verify the quality, each luminaire has been given a consecutive number and marked with the TECNOLUMEN stamp.

The company TECNOLUMEN - program with heart

The company TECNOLUMEN is based entirely on the Bauhaus style: the Wagenfeld table lamp was its first product in 1979. In addition to Wilhelm Wagenfeld's models, TECNOLUMEN also integrates other Bauhaus design classics into its program, from Marianne Brandt to the designs of other designers such as Walter Schnepel. Art Deco and De Stijl also shape the program of this manufacturer.
