Hand-pleated lampshade - Snowdrop designer floor lamp from Denmark The Snowdrop designer floor lamp is a luminaire creation by the designer trio Harrit-Sørensen + Samson and is produced by the Danish luminaire manufacturer LE KLINT. The structure consists of a black metal frame with a round base and curved standing star, which carries the characteristic white lampshade with a pleated look. Lampshades made using the traditional folding technique are the hallmark of this manufacturer, which was founded by Tage Klint in Denmark in 1943 and still produces hand-folded lampshades and other lamp creations in Odense on the island of Funen, with designs by various renowned designers. LE KLINT combines traditional craftsmanship with modern production methods and each light is unique, as it has not yet been possible to master the special folding technique by machine, meaning that all lampshades are still made by hand. It takes three years of training to become a folder before all the different shade creations have been mastered.
